Report into the public’s experience of cancer, diabetes and dementia care services

Posted on 27th June 2017

Healthwatch Northamptonshire (HWN) was commissioned by NHS Nene and Corby CCGs to survey local opinion about specific care services. Key questions were incorporated within the annual HWN “Make Your Voice Count” campaign then HWN’s team and volunteers visited hospitals, clinics, leisure centres, shopping centres, colleges, Dementia Cafes, Support Groups and many county events to carry out the survey. A total of 43 venues were surveyed. The HWN website also carried the survey.

Over 1,000 surveys were completed by a wide range of local people, giving clear insights into public views on the specified services and very useful suggestions on how future services could be designed by NHS Nene CCG and its partners to best meet public needs.
